An appointment with history !
Saint-Marcel, in the Landes Lanvaux, housed the largest Breton maquis, which took place June 18, 1944, a memorable battle in the history of France and Britain.
This history museum, unique in Britain, you discover on 1500m² of exposure, the life and commitment of the Britons in the Second World War.
The many collections presented in six rooms are complemented by a range of audiovisual and explanatory models. Unique in France: Do not miss, in July and August (except weekends), the guided tour in historic vehicle!

Alley in the village and in the Earth, in the footsteps of Louis and Mary, 2 children of yesteryear. Their journey will lead children in key places in the village to finish in the cabin of the shepherds. This space will host a scenography evoking the lives of children in 1850.
